If you read the last post then you know we got our hands on a new toy yesterday. Here is a photo of what it probably looked like new. I know that it's cool to have a Harley these days, but this baby is pretty fun to ride too.

Sorry that we didn't post this yesterday. We got our hands on a used Vespa for free and spent the day making it work. It now works, and I have 2 wheel transportation. Skateboarding is Alive and Well in Kansas City KANSAS CITY, KS – Today the etnies Team went to Kansas City to celebrate Go Skateboarding Day, and while skateboarding’s number one holiday is almost over for another year there is no reason to sweat it – just go skateboarding again tomorrow! Kansas City’s own Sean Malto and fellow etnies team riders Mikey Taylor, Kyle Leeper, Jose Rojo, Devine Calloway and Davis Torgerson headed to the Penn Valley Skatepark in K.C. to host a benefit event to raise money to purchase lights for the skatepark. During the day more than 600 skateboarders came to the park with the first group showing up before 7 a.m. and there were locals still skating the park until dark. The etnies Go Skateboarding Day event included a free BBQ, a benefit raffle for complete skateboards, and a skate jam as well as a Red Bull “Best Trick” contest. Local skateboarders were given $2,500 in a best trick contest on the euro gap, 8 stair and grass gap that was judged by etnies team riders Sean, Mikey, Jose and Devine. NBC Anchorman, Kyle and Jose lo-res Kyle Leeper and Jose Rojo were on the Kansas City NBC Morning News show to hype up Go Skateboarding Day. The stand out of all the tricks thrown down was Dylan Agular’s kickflip front tail to fakie up the euro gap – he won a well-deserved $250 for overall best trick. We have a question for you. Have you seen the Nike SB Debacle video? If you said no, we have another question for you. Why not? The Nike Sb Debacle video is a nonstop, start to finish banger! The Centro Ybor movie theater had almost every seat filled. Everyone got a great show but if you were not there or have not seen it you can't miss this video. I think the Nike SB Debacle video will be going down in the history books for sure. Ryan Dodge said that they completed all the filming in only 3 months. I just turned pro and have a pro board and shoe coming out soon. Go get it son!!!!! (3.) What are your long term goals? I just have one goal and that is to be happy and have fun and make some money doing it. (4.) Who is helping you out along the way? Who is hooking you up? (6.) Have you ever been seriously injured? Too many times to list. This one day at the park I broke both my wrist and my elbow and was knocked out cold. (7.) What is a day like for Chad Tepper? Wake up feeling hung over, drink a DNA energy drink, jump in the shower go eat Taco Bell for breakfast hit up the gym to get sexy for the ladies hahaha then go skate try to get some work done then head to the beach relax and then go chill with some friends and ladies and call it a night. (8.) What is the best skate experience you have ever had? The ASR trip to the West Coast was epic as $h!t. I skated everyday and on the way there I hit up Vegas it was amazing big thanks to the 6 Berrys for the good time. (9.) Free decks for life or free shoes for life? I already get both, but for life I don't know. We will see. (10.) Favorite place to skate. it was Cocoa Beach Skate park but $h!t went down hill so now it is all of Florida. (11.) Are you going to ASR in September? I will deff be out there so keep a look out for me and lets party! Last words... EMERICA’S WILD IN THE STREETS 2009 BENEFITTING LEESIDE SKATEPARK Emerica’s Wild in the Streets Hits Vancouver, B.C. June 21, 2009 to Benefit Skateboarder Lee Matasi’s (RIP) LeeSide Skatepark Los Angeles, CA – Emerica’s Wild in the Streets main event goes international for the first time! The Emerica team will be heading up to Vancouver, BC, Canada for Go Skateboarding Day on June 21, 2009, for Wild in the Streets. This year, Wild in the Streets will benefit LeeSide, the underground DIY skatepark that Vancouver skateboarder and artist Lee Matasi envisioned and began creating before his untimely death. Lee was shot and killed in 2005, but lives on through LeeSide. An Emerican army consisting of a few thousand skateboarders will charge the streets of Vancouver during the Wild in the Streets 2009. Emerica is hosting the event this year to raise awareness about Lee Matasi, to raise money to help LeeSide continue to grow, and to support the Vancouver skateboarding community. Emerica will be selling t-shirts and all funds raised during the event will go toward the construction of new obstacles for LeeSide. Make your plans now to head to Canada’s Hot Corner. We Are Coming To Get You. On Thursday morning we had a couple of thieves break into Progressive Skatepark looking for what I believe was the $23,000.00 we raised for breast cancer research. It wasn’t there so they proceeded to vandalize our business instead. But like most thieves, they were dumb asses. I’m calling the two of you out directly. I’ll call you Mr. Nixon and Mr. B. Let me tell you a few details. I know you came in the building around 2:45am and stayed until 4:45. From the time you opened the shoe room door until the time you left we have you on surveillance video. Let me drop you a few hints to let you know I’m not BSing you. Mr. Nixon (because of the white Nixon Beanie you have on) remember when you got the Fallen Skeleton gloves out of the case, did you leave something behind? Here’s another one for you, remember when you bought a Powerade at 4:38 am, you left us some really good evidence then. Mr. B. (for the Plan B shirt wrapped around your face), why did you take off your disguise why you were still in the building? Dude, did you not see the surveillance camera right behind your head? By the way man, nice white shoes you were wearing. Also, let your driver know that today we are getting surveillance tape from our neighbors that monitor the road behind our building. We will know what kind of car you were driving by this afternoon. A note to the driver, you’re going down like the other two and I will own your car. Do I have your attention now? I along with a team of investigators are coming after you, we know what you look like and we will have your names within the next 24-48 hours. I’ll make you a deal, return all the merchandise you took from me in the next 24 hours, I don’t care how I get it back, just get it back and you guys will walk on this. If not, Let me give you fair warning, myself along with my team will hunt you down, we will find you and I will make life a living hell for you and your family. You didn’t just steal from me, you came after money that so many skaters worked so hard for to support cancer. The resources I have to catch you go beyond your imagination. I will hunt you down like the pigs that you are and I will personally prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law, which by the way, will be felony burglary, breaking and entering and anything else the Detectives can come up with. Guys, you messed with the wrong person on the wrong day, I will devote every moment to finding you and I WILL. So unless you guys feel like sitting in the big house for the next four years, you better start figuring how to get everything back to me right now. Maybe one of ya’ll might want to rat out one of each other, I’ll make it a point that you won’t be prosecuted. Let it also be known that anyone caught buying any of this merchandise will also be charged with abetting these pieces of crap. You guys should be feeling a bit sick in you stomach’s right now, keep an eye out over your shoulder, were right around the corner. Progressive Skatepark gives back.	05-21-2009
I remember this all started as an idea driving to work back in January. I heard a radio commercial about the Avon Three Day Breast Walk for Cancer and thought it would be cool to hook up a park mom to do the walk. Within a week the idea bloomed into sponsoring a team of moms to walk. It's not your average walk, it's 60 miles in three days. Anyway I threw the idea at all of ya'll and it was so cool, no one turned me down when I asked for the help. Without the support from everyone of you, I could not have pulled off what could be one of my proudest skateboard moments ever. The goal was to raise $10,000.00 to pay the entree fee to the Avon Walk, my dream was to raise $15,000.00 and give the extra five grand to The keep A Breast Foundation. Well here's what went down, I had a total of 52 skaters enter the event, land as many tricks in two minutes as they could and collect donations from sponsors to support breast cancer. It was a super easy concept, but would people support it? Just last week, I woke up one morning in a full panic attack, all I could think about was what happens if I only raise $2,500.00? I would have let so many people down. I finally calmed myself down thinking that the "family" wouldn't let me down. You guessed it, they didn't. Are you ready for this. We raised $23,047.29 and I still have maybe another 10% more coming. Within the next couple of days we should hit the $25,000.00 mark. That's 10 grand more than my dream number! Think about that...... 52 skaters, skating for two minutes each. We raised all this cash in an hour and 44 minutes. I am so blown away right now. Tonight we presented the skaters who raised the most money, their skate adventures of a lifetime. I did run into a big dilemma, I had six kids raise over $1,500.00 each. You can't let a kid go un rewarded for such an accomplishment. First thing this morning I contacted Reggie and Jocelyn at Eastern and asked if I could send the whole group up instead of just the 2nd place kid. Without hesitation they agreed. I just don't know how to thank all you guys, you made a dream of mine come true. Today was a day I really needed in my life right now, so again, thanks so much for being there for me and believing in what I thought could be done. It was a great day for skateboarders in our community and a step closer to finding a cure for this nasty disease. Chad Hazeltine raised the most money and will be headed for the west coast for his Skate Adventure. Chad brought in $4,223.00. Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ALLI’S CHINA INVITATIONAL ARRIVES IN BEIJING MAY 8-10 World’s Best Skateboard and BMX Athletes Set to Compete in Second Annual Event Burr Ridge, Ill. – May 5, 2009 – Building on the success of last year’s inaugural international event, Alli, the Alliance of Action Sports holds its second annual China Invitational, May 8-10 at the Beijing University of Technology Gymnasium, an Olympic venue from the 2008 Beijing Games. Americans can watch the event for the first time with 1.5 hours of national, NBC television coverage on Sunday, June 14. The 2009 China Invitational features the skate park and vert competitions that took place during the inaugural event along with the addition of a BMX vert contest. The top professional action sports athletes from around the world will again be competing in the China Invitational, including ‘08 skateboard vert China Invitational winner and Dew Cup champion Pierre-Luc Gagnon, four-time BMX vert Dew Cup champion Jamie Bestwick and skateboard park competitor Austen Seaholm. BMX and skateboard vert finals will take place on Saturday, May 9, while skateboard park finals will be held on Sunday, May 10. Mason is a ten-year-old boy diagnosed with Burkitt's Lymphoma in March 2008. Since that time he has had some remission but has also relapsed twice and suffered a coma caused by one of the chemo drugs. He also suffered kidney damage at that same time which almost kept him from receiving his Bone Marrow Transplant. Thanks be to God, Amy and Travis were directed to Duke Children’s Hospital in Durham and to Dr. Martin, who gladly took on Mason's case. His Bone Marrow Transplant took place Jan 08/2009 with his little brother Gavin, as his perfectly matching donor. Going through transplant was rough on Mason; it is on all these precious children. He made it through and was discharged to a local apartment waiting that magical 100th day. Sadly, more cancer cells were found in his central nervous system at approximately Day 53. The family was devastated and frankly the doctors didn't know what to do, but after regrouping, this amazing family pulled up their bootstraps and is now forging ahead with THE NEW PLAN, put together by Dr. Martin and colleagues. The McLeod family mission statement… Save Mason, No giving up allowed. God is with us, we know this. So many people are praying for Mason, we know this as well. Mason's wish is simple, he wants to go home and just be a normal boy again.

Put up a bunch of stores and not worry about that you aren't making any more money. Step 2. Don't worry about it, because you aren't paying your bills anyway. Especially to the companies that are filling your stores up with merchandise. Step 3. Screw everybody and every other store out there that you put your store next to. Who cares if those other stores have been supporting the scene, and been giving back to skateboarding for years? Step 4. Accept the award, make some speech, and glow in your temporary success. How long have you been living in California? It's been about 9 months now. Yikes! Is it officially home yet? Sort of, our daily routine is great here. I just wish all of our family was out here as well. Skating street on the East kills skating out here in Cali (sorry but it is straight up true). You can just skate around at real spots, there isn't a posse already filming there, or cops stalking the joint. Are there plans to ever move back to the East Coast? I would like to eventually, even if it is to go and die. I wanna return to where I came from. Are you getting more into the business world of the skateboard industry? Yes and no. I was more in tune with how the skate shops run and survive while in Philly. Now I am learning what sells to who, cost efficiency, and what not. You have been biking lately, what got you started on that? Robbie Morales, of FIT BIKE CO. is a skate fan. Super cool dude; I got hooked up by him. It is really fun, and different from skating. It gives you that awesome feeling of learning tricks and doing something gnarly, just like skating. The difference is you have a new set of rules. You can't kickflip, but you can (not me) bar-spin. Most skaters are not into biking due to the fact they chunk up ledges, and are pretty brutal on skate spots. What is your take on that? I felt a similar way when I was younger. The difference between good bikers and beginners is good bikers do minimal damage to a ledge. They don't slam down very often. I, for instance, don't grind ledges for that reason. If you look at videos of bikers though it is sick! The whole FIT team kills, Garrett Reynolds' part in the Nike video, Van Homan...there are tons of awesome dudes. Your son Wyatt has his own board? Yeah! For Christmas, Jamie got the woodshop to make Wyatt a perfect sized board for him. It is so legit, it has 7 plys, my Flashback graphic, and it is a 'Jamie' shape, just shrunken. I have a 49mm wheel out, so those are on there too. I ordered a board for myself, which you will see in the upcoming months on the ZERO site. Does Wyatt shred? He does! I am really proud of him, he can pretty much ollie. He rides by himself, and can go up about a 3 foot quarter pipe and roll fakie back. So sick. How often do you guys skate together? Almost everyday. He loves to get out and do active stuff, and obviously I do too. He is my best friend. What happens next for you as far as video parts after you put out a part like 'Ride The Sky'? I wonder that after every part. It gets hard, but you just chip away trying to be the best you can. That's all you can do right?

We will be out of town this weekend attending ASR Trade Show in San Diego. I can't wait I wish we were already there. If you are going here are 10 things you gotta grab to make you trip a little bit more fun and on point. 10 Things you gotta grab at ASR. 1). Bags. First and foremost you have to grab a bag. It might not sound like much but you are going to need it to carry the rest of your gear in. 2). Stickers, buttons, and posters. Most booths have at least one of these goodies you can pick up with ease wile walking the isles of ASR. 3). A photo with the Reef girls. Even if you are not a big fan of surfing everyone is a fan of the Reef girls. 4). T Shirts. Most companies have a secret stash of shirts around somewhere. When you are putting in your order don't be afraid to ask for a few promo shirts. 5). Product catalogs. If your eyes are bigger than your wallet you should still ask for catalogs of future products. They are always good to have on deck in your shop or in your office. And 6 months down the road when that product is brand new and hitting stores you can tell all your friends "I saw that 6 months ago at ASR in January." 6). Create a Skate presented by legend Paul Schmitt. It takes about 2 hours but to hand craft your own skateboard but it is well worth it! 7). Nixon City Guide and Planner. I like to be as organized as possible to get the most out of my ASR experience and Nixon makes it easy with a neat little pocket map of all the hot spots in San Diego. 8). (a)Beer! (b) Beer cuzie. We work hard, but never too hard. If you see a drink cuzie laying around pick it up. The beer is sure to flow closer to the end of the show. 9). A good seat. This January 09 ASR is working with The Skate Park of Tampa, Damn Am, Nike SB, and The Skateboard Mag to bring you Amature Fight Night. I always look forward to trade shows. Some I like better than others but I always have a great time. This year Team Pain had a street course with some new obstacles that were super fun to skate and was completely new and fresh. If you are a fan of sports in Florida, yesterday was quite the day. In one day, the Tampa Bay Rays beat the Defending World Champion Boston Red Sox to make their first ever appearance into the World Series, The Tampa Bay Bucs manhandled the Seattle Seahawks in a 20-10 win, and Timmy Knuth skated in his television debut at the Dew Tour in Orlando capturing 4th place in a field of pros. Timmy proved to the crowd, the other skaters, and more importantly to himself that he belonged in the finals. From all of us here Timmy, congratulations!!!

ASR Trade Show day 3 nightlife	09-08-2008
The last time we were in California before this ASR we partied pretty hard with Tod Swank from Tum Yeto and tried to pull an all niter that resulted in a very very bad idea. I swore I was going to keep it chill the night before our flight and get a good night rest for our trip back home. The night started out harmless with dinner with Jon Montesi and Corby from Westside and then a few drinks at a local bar. On the way back to the hotel we ran into Don Brown and he told us to stop by the lobby bar for a few drinks. It was still early so I didn't see any harm in it so I hung out with Don and the SPoT crew and had a few more drinks before calling it a night. Buuut 1 drink turned into 2 and then 2 turned into 4, 4turned into 14 and all of a sudden I remember hearing a voice saying there was a party on the 3rd floor. At this time I was in full party mode and my 6am flight was the last thing on my mind. I will let the photos tell the rest of the story. See you all again in January!!
ASR Trade Show day 3	09-08-2008
We kept our 3rd and final day at ASR pretty mellow. On the way to the show we saw the LRG whip. They know how to ride in style! Speaking of style Nixon and Oakley have some very HOT new products coming out for all you that like to skate and look good while doing it! While talking to AJ at One Skateboards we saw Kareem Campbell getting an interview. I wanted to jump behind him and hold up a FTK but don't think he would be hyped if I did that. Word is he has a new company coming out called GUAPO. Pete Kelly told me Guapo was Italian for The Big Cheese but it is also Spanish for "Ladies Man". Either way we are going to have to give this international playa an interview and get our facts straight! THE DUDE himself was there! One of the best seminars I have ever attended was the Dwindle Tech Clinic were Professional Skateboarders Bod Boyle, Chet Thomas and Rodney Mullen spoke about how Dwindle products are manufactured and the technology behind their products. You might be thinking to yourself "making skateboards isn't rocket science" but after watching the presentation that had for us you might think otherwise.
ASR Trade Show day 2 nightife	09-08-2008
First stop for the night was the Embassy Suites to meet up with Pete Kelly, Kelly Welsh, Cullen, Gabe, and Tony before checking out the Social Distortion concert at the House of Blues. Seeing the Skate Park of Tampa sticker made me feel like home and I had such a great time I almost forgot it was a business trip. After the Social D show we went to the "W" Hotel for an Etnies party that was going off!

Today was our 2nd day in California but technically our first day at ASR The San Diego Convention center is a beautiful place and I always love seeing it because I know good things are sure to come. The jet lag really caught up and now I know not to set any appointments before 10am. But it didn’t stop the people at the Stereo booth. But with their new line looking as sick as it is I am not surprised one bit. One thing that did surprise me was a photo of World Industries team rider Dustin Blauvelt that our friend Jake Schrickling shot. That was pretty rad. New Era has a lot of nice hats and gives me an idea…FTK hats??? Down the isle at the Tum Yeto booth we saw Tampa local Abdias Rivera larger than life, they also have some real good looking Foundation decks coming out real soon. From old to new the SK8OLOGY booth was refreshing break from meetings and was a great exhibit that makes you think about the history and future of skateboarding. The day was nearing an end and talking and walking all day made us pretty thirsty so we stopped by the Beer Garden for a drink before we called it a day and to our surprise we ran into the DVS party team and Whitney from Dwindle. As we were walking out we ran into pro skaters Jamie Thomas and Pete Kelly and I had to get a photo! Time to get a bite to eat and get ready for the great nightlife!
ASR Trade Show Day 1	09-04-2008
I always love coming out to San Diego for ASR because of all the great opportunities that come up. Yesterday was was a great day. We checked out the open house at Black Box and saw the burnout machine.--I think there is some footage on the ZERO web site. After doing burn outs and wheelies in the parking lot we headed to Matt Hensley's Flying Elephant for some good music, food and a few pints. It was also Black Label's 20 Year Anniversary so we lucked out with that. We bumped into a lot of long time no see friends, like Tod Swank and Glenn Brummage from Tum Yeto, Dennis Cramer from Innes, and a few Santa Cruz legends. This trip to ASR is going to be one of our best yet! What am I saying? Every trip to ASR is our best trip! Thanks Andy T for putting a roof over our head and making all this possible! DVS Wins Skate & Create	08-20-2008
Back in April, TransWorld SKATEboarding held its first annual Skate & Create contest. In a nutshell, the contest consists of four teams of four pros, one am, a photographer, a videographer, and an art director. Each team is locked in a warehouse for nine days with a smorgasbord of ramps, rails, banks, and boxes. The team that can come up with the most creative set concept, skate obstacles, photography, skateboarding, and video wins. All teams involved produced amazing videos and brilliant photos, but after the judging was said and done it was DVS that emerged as the winner. In honor of its accomplishments, DVS has launched a Mini-Website that showcases its contest video, a behind-the-scenes video, point and shoot photos, as well as brief interviews with the creative minds behind the project. Eric Koston, Jereme Rogers and Darrell Stanton will be joining the Dew Tour high rollers PRod, Sheckler and Lutzka at the AST Dew Tour's Portland Skate Park comp on Friday, August 22nd. The street-focused course in Portland will feature stairs, rails, jersey barriers, and cement ledges along with elements that will give the course a real-life feel – including a picnic table, fire hydrant, brick stamped Skatelite, and shrubbery. PRod expressed his approval of the new course, "This course is definitely my cup of tea. I saw the drawing of it, and it looked great. For me personally, this style of course gives me more options of tricks to try. Michael Arthur King, 54, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 26, 2008	08-04-2008
He suffered a heart attack while driving home from a game of golf in his hometown of Palm Bay, Florida. Mike was able to pull to the side of the road but was gone by the time medical help arrived. A native Floridian, Mike began skateboarding in the late 1960's and became one of the east coast's early pioneers. He made his mark in skateboarding in the early 1970's skating the infamous Haulover underpass in North Miami Beach. Mike later became a member of the Walker Skateboard Team and competed regularly in contests, routinely driving the Walker team van around the state, ferrying teammates like Rodney Mullen and Jim McCall to contests and demos. As one of the sport's elders, Mike's advice and coaching of the team was an extra bonus to sponsor Bruce Walker. "Mike King was an original. He was such a benefit to have along when we traveled because he kept our teamriders out of trouble by keeping them on track and focused. He was well known for his upbeat, positive attitude and he effected those around him in a very positive way." recalled Walker. "He will be sorely missed." In 2002, Mike King was nominated for induction into the Florida Skateboard Hall of Fame. While he has not yet been formally inducted, Mike's name has continuously appeared on the nominee list and will again be in consideration for the upcoming induction ceremony, scheduled for January 2009 at Surf Expo in Orlando, Florida. Mike King is survived by his wife Maria, sons Chris, Richard, and Patrick, and daughter Michelle. His funeral service was held on Friday, August 1, 2008 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Palm Bay. In lieu of flowers, an education fund has been set up. Donations can be made out to Patrick S. King c/o Riverside National Bank, 4625 Babcock St.NE, Palm Bay, FL 32905. In an attempt to uncover some of the most amazing shop talent out there, DVS presents Shopliftn'— a shop video contest of epic proportions. Here’s how it works. All DVS skate shops will receive a golden ticket to participate, but only the first 100 shops to RSVP will be eligible to compete. These 100 lucky shops will have the opportunity to produce a five-minute video segment highlighting the best skateboarding their shop team has to offer. Each team will have exactly five months to film, produce, and edit their footage. On January 31, 2009 each team will submit their footage to DVS. Each shop video will then be meticulously judged by DVS team riders on the quality of skateboarding, cinematography, editing, soundtrack, and art direction. The shop that produces the best overall video will receive custom DVS shop shoes, a DVS demo, and an ad running in a major skateboard magazine announcing them as the winner of the Shopliftn’ contest. Having just returned from a lengthy three-week European Tour, the Zoo Crew isn't wasting any time as they prepare to embark on the 2008 “ZOO-B-Q” Canada Tour from July 22nd–25th. A few days before the tour officially kicks off, several ZY Officials will head to Quebec to compete in the 4th Annual Zoo York Am Getting Paid (AGP) contest which runs from July 18th–20th at Montreal’s South Parc Skatepark. East Coaster Jereme Rogers Places First!	07-10-2008
After nabbing a respectable fourth place finish at the DVS CPH Pro, DVS Pro Jereme Rogers claimed first at the fifteenth annual Mystic Sk8 Cup in Prague the weekend of July 4’th, 2008. As one of the most popular and prestigious events on the WCS European contest circuit, the Mystic Cup plays host to some of the best international skateboarders in the world and entertains more than 200 skaters from more than 25 countries. The competition is always tough at the Mystic Cup, but Jereme Rogers’ consistency and trick selection won over the judges and earned him a spot at the top of the podium. “It’s good to see Jereme back on top,” says DVS Skate Team Manager Gabe Clement. “Jereme skated solid in the CPH Pro with his 4th place win, but his win in Prague tops off the Euro trip! Congrats Jereme!”

And finally on May 18th they'll cruise down the Garden State Parkway to Sayreville, NJ, for a team signing at NJ Skateshop at 2PM, and a demo at Sayreville Skatepark at 3PM.

ZOO YORK WELCOMES ELI REED.	03-21-2008
Born and raised in Boston, MA, Eli currently lives in NYC's East Village. A versatile street skater with a deep bag of tricks, Eli's unwavering dedication and years of grinding it out have earned him the respect of his peers and helped him make a name for himself in the global skateboarding community. His most recent accomplishments include placing fourth in Redbull's Manny Mania Contest, as well as securing highly-touted video parts in Zered Bassett's Vicious Cycle and Jereme Rogers' Neighborhood. Eli is skating better than ever right now, and to keep the momentum going he is already hard at work filming his part for Zoo York's upcoming full-length team video. Eli has been one of my best friends and favorite skaters for ten years now, says long-time Zoo pro rider Zered Bassett. I'm hyped hes officially part of the crew, and I'm looking forward to traveling with him and watching him shred. As the newest member of the Zoo Crew, Eli joins veteran ZY Officials Zered Bassett, Donny Barley, Aaron Suski, Forrest Kirby, Kevin Taylor, Brandon Westgate (Am), Matt Miller (Am), Anthony Shetler (Am), Lamare Hemmings (Am), and Ron Deily (Am). To celebrate Eli joining Zoo York, a special podcast shot and produced by RB Umali is now available for download through iTunes. The Harold Hunter Foundation would like to thank you for all of your support in 2007!	03-21-2008
2007 was a busy year, beginning with our first Board Meeting in January when we elected the Board of Directors. Later that month, with the help of Joseph Lattimore, Mad Daimoku, Dave's Quality Meat, aNYthing, Max Fish, UXA, and MDP/Sensei we had the first annual Harold Hunter Memorial Basketball Classic, held at Harold's alma mater Seward Park High School in January of 2007. In February 2007 the HHF held a touching memorial at Forbidden City, to give Harold's friends a chance to get together and remember him on the anniversary of his passing. Films by R. B. Umali and Suzanne Clyne were shown and a photo exhibit was on display. In April, the Nike Bridge Runners sponsored a 5 mile "Run for Harold" event leading approximately 40 runners through Harold's favorite stomping grounds. Beginning at the Brooklyn Banks, heading up through the Lower East Side, through Washington Square Park and across the Village, the run ended near the Campos Housing Project where Harold grew up. An after-party was held at Royale. Commemorative T-shirts were designed by Stash & Mike Hernandez, and at the end of the event Nike graciously matched the money raised by the event. With the money raised at our various events, we sent George Milanes and Louis Vicor, two up and coming skaters from the Bronx, to Woodward Camp for a week in August. Thanks to generous donations from DC, Shut, DQM, Rockstar Bearings, Nike and Triple 8 the boys were fully equipped with gear and boards and sent off in style by limousine courtesy of Madison Avenue Limousine to the Woodward Camp bus (see attached photo of the boys with HHF Board of Directors member Todd Jordan). We are already off to another great year in 2008! In January, Blockworks sponsored the second annual Harold Hunter Memorial Basketball Classic. Building on the success of last year's event, this year's event included a dodgeball tournament and a wildly entertaining chicken wing eating contest, giving new meaning to the term "classic". There a number of upcoming events in the works including another "Run for Harold" event with the Nike Bridgerunners, to be held on April 12th as well as another Harold Hunter Day scheduled for May 17, 2008, a skate clinic at KCDC and, of course, we will be sending a new group of kids off to Woodward Camp again this summer. More information on these events will follow. Again, thank you for all of your support in 2007 and beyond! We look forward to seeing you at HHF events throughout the coming year. A time to remember...	03-21-2008
On Saturday April 12th we will be celebrating the life of Luciano "Lucy" Ramallo, who we tragically lost on February 24th of this year. While this was a truly sad way to lose our friend I know he would want us to remember him with smiles and good times. Let's remember all the fun we shared and lessons learned from Lucy in his short time on this Earth. At 11am on Saturday April 12th join me at Phipps Skatepark. Formerly Sanctuary Skatepark located at 4715 S. Dixie Hwy. in West Palm Beach. Helmets and waivers are required. Regular admission to skate and free to watch. There will be a novice, Intermediate, and Advanced division with a best trick and product toss to follow. Live music and art from local musicans and artists as well. Food and drinks will be available. Come out and enjoy this day remembering our friend. as he wins the first stop of the Bowl Riders event in Cocoa Beach in the Pro Division. It comes as no surprise that Buck Smith won the Masters Division, and Up and Comer Timmy Knuth took it home in the Am Division. Julie Kindstrand took top honors in the Womens, and little Alex Sorgente held it down for first in the grom side of things. The next stop is scheduled to be at the Oviedo Park on March 29th and 30th.
